Frank & Candy, Uganda is a Kuchu grassroots organisation that was formed with the specific aims to address the HIV and health care needs of Kuchus in Uganda. The word Kuchu is used deliberately. In Uganda, it is a self-identification of all those of us who have other than the majority, heterosexual sex behaviour and sexual orientation. Kuchus, in 'western' terms, includes Gays, Lesbians, Transgenders, Intersex individuals, Men who have Sex with Men, Women who have Sex with Women, Bisexuals, Queers, Questioning and all others whose sexuality differs from that of the Hetero-normative standards. Frank & Candy aims are not to generate members lists, but to help Kuchus, Kuchu organisations and individuals self-actualise with regards to their needs of health, in particular Sexual Health and HIV Prevention Needs. Frank & Candy, Uganda was formed in 2005. It has a board of 5 Members, all Kuchus.

An Empowered and Informed Community of Men who have Sex with Men (MSM) and Women who have Sex with Women (WSW) and Transgenders in Uganda, free from the threat of HIV/AIDS, functioning freely in society without Prejudice and Stigma.
Our Mission is
Empowering the MSM/WSW/TG Communities and Individuals with Knowledge and Skills for HIV Prevention and Positive Living and ensuring access to Health Care and HIV Prevention Tools.
Frank & Candy, Uganda is currently involved in a few initiatives, all aimed at HIV Prevention and Care. They include;
- The Frank & Candy Newsletter, a weekly HIV Prevention and Care informational electronic newsletter.
- The LGBTI Health Africa Listserve, an e-group, which was formed with the aim to connect all those in Africa who work in the fields of Health and Health care for Kuchus all over Africa and in the particular HIV field. - The Safe Space Initiative: A virtual secret group on a popular social networking site, which aims to create a safe space that is for Kuchus, administered by Kuchus to discuss any and all topics of interest to Kuchus. This initiative was formed in November 2010
- Kuchus Living with HIV/AIDS group (KULHAS). F&C, (U) is the parent group of KULHAS, a group of Kuchus living with HIV which was formed as a self support group to take care of the needs of Kuchus living with HIV
Frank & Candy, Uganda aims to work with, and empower other Kuchu groups. It aims to be a professional link between programming, and service delivery.
